This Bookcase was a challenge to design, to utilise a tall stairwell without using too much of the footprint of the landing ensuring it didn't impact on the functionality of the stairs.

It is all solid oak with a bespoke through tenon and wedged ladder that is semi suspended from a steel rail that holds the ladder/user safely.

With minimal/traditional detailing the piece sits in its surrounding comfortably while adding a strong feature to an otherwise wasted area of the house.
